What would you like to accomplish at HT6
My main goal is to expand my knowledge and skills in the tech, coding & design world while building new connections with like-minded individuals. Meeting people who share my passion for technology excites me, and the fact they will all be to an extent, my age. The hackathon also presents itself as a perfect platform for learning from their experiences and insights.
During Jamhacks ( my first and most recent hackathon ), I was amazed at the innovative ideas and projects people created in a short amount of time. At Hack the 6ix, I aspire to be part of a collaborative team that can brainstorm and develop a project that makes a positive impact. Learning about new technologies and techniques will undoubtedly play a significant role in achieving this goal.
Overall, my aim is to make the most of this hackathon, gaining knowledge, expanding my network, and leaving with newfound inspiration to continue my journey in the tech world.
If you were to live in a fictional world of your choosing one day, what would it be and why This could be from any show, anime or even a novel of your choosing, be creative!
At first, I struggled with my response to this question. There are obviously the popular choices and the “according-to-reddit-this-was-the-best” choices. I really didn’t want to be either of those.
In the end, I settled on the Arc of a Scythe galaxy. It’s set in a world without hunger, disease or war, in a future where humanity has even conquered death. They also deeply cover mortality, AI systems, and ethical issues in ways that I find very fascinating.
In that world, in the year 2042, effective immortality is discovered and a nigh-omnipotent artificial intelligence called the Thunderhead was created, described as the ‘evolution of the cloud.’ The Thunderhead was carefully designed with perfect and caring motives, wanting only to be a loving guardian of humanity. After a bit of global skepticism, every government eventually subsided to the Thunderhead, and all of Earth became united peacefully. Utilizing all of humanity’s knowledge and power, the Thunderhead solves climate change, mental illness, and discrimination.
I think it’s self-explanatory why I would want to live there. It would also be very easy to adapt to that lifestyle vs a reality such as Star Trek or other fantasy or sci-fi worlds.
