DeltaHacks is the annual Hackathon for Change. If you had the ability to change anything in the world, what would it be and why

For me, if I could change just one thing about the world, I would focus on enhancing accessibility to quality education globally. Education is the keystone not only for individual growth, but for the progress of society as a whole. I believe that by making full education accessible to the masses, especially in underprivileged areas, we can spark individuals to improve their lives and contribute positively to both their local communities and to society as a whole.

Breaking down barriers such as limited resources and opportunities creates a fairer world. Quality education equips people with skills, igniting innovation and positive change.
It’s a powerful force that has the potential to brighten lives across communities.

TL;DR: Ensure everyone, regardless of background or location, has access to quality education for a brighter, more inclusive future.

You’ve been stranded on an island, what 3 items do u bring

Stranded on the unfamiliar island, equipped with a solar-powered satellite phone, a water filtration device, and an axe, my escape plan unfolds. I’d first establish communication using the satellite phone to alert rescue teams. While awaiting assistance, I’d utilize the axe to build a sturdy shelter for protection. After that, I’d turn my attention to foraging. Using the axe, I’d fashion rudimentary tools for fishing or harvesting local fruits. The water filtration device ensures a safe water supply, sustaining me during the wait. With communication, shelter, and resources secured, I’d strategically await rescue, ensuring I make it back in time for DeltaHacks 10.

Is there anything else interesting you want us to know or see (Optional)

At my last hackathon, Hack The Valley 8, they organized an event called ‘Walk The Valley.’ Picture this: a morning walk around the UofT campus in a group, ending at the iconic UofT sign. It was not just a walk; it was a delightful experience creating seemingly lasting memories. Being someone intrigued by McMaster, I’d love to have a similar event here—a chance to explore the campus, soak in the atmosphere, and experience my fellow hackers in a different environment.
